Description of the attraction

Gelendzhik embankment is a unique architectural structure, which is one of the main attractions of the city. This is the longest promenade in the whole world. Its length is over 8 km.

Conventionally, the Gelendzhik embankment is divided into three sections: central, southern and northern. The central section starts from the water park "Begemot" and stretches to Sadovaya Street. This site is considered the most beautiful and populous. On this site you can find many architectural structures, monuments, beautiful flower beds, as well as cafes and restaurants that amaze with a variety of styles, interiors and cuisine. In addition, there is an amusement park where you can have fun for both adults and children. Fans of outdoor activities have the opportunity to swim on yachts, fly a parachute, ride a jet ski and a banana boat.

The southern section starts from Tolstoy Cape and continues to the Begemot water park. This part of the embankment was completed in 2009. Previously, there were unkempt pebble beaches, but now a wonderful sandy beach awaits vacationers here. The southern section is famous for a large number of beautiful places, monuments, beautiful slopes to the beach, interesting buildings. There are not very many people here. However, a beautiful panorama of the Gelendzhik Bay opens from here.

The northern part of Gelendzhikskaya embankment originates from Sadovaya Street and stretches to Cape Tonky. The main decoration of this section of the embankment is the recently opened fountain, striking with a variety of figures and jets. Also here you can see a sculpture of a "learned cat" from the tale of A. S. Pushkin and an oak surrounded by a chain. The northern part of the embankment is suitable for cycling enthusiasts, since only here such riding is allowed. There is also a bicycle rental service.

In the evening, the entire embankment of Gelendzhik is illuminated with thousands of lights, thereby creating a magnificent sight. The embankment is popular among vacationers not only in summer, but also in spring, autumn and winter.
